1. Introduction

ShiftEasy ("we," "us," or "our") operates the ShiftEasy User and Captain (Driver) applications. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our movers and packers services, including office shifting, vehicle transport, and home relocation across India.

2. Information We Collect

• Personal Data: Name, email address, mobile number, and profile details provided during registration.
• Location Data:
  • Users: We collect precise location data to facilitate accurate pickup/drop-off settings and provide live tracking of your assigned Captain.
  • Captains: We collect continuous location data (including background location when the app is minimized or closed) to enable real-time tracking for the User and accurate distance calculation.
• Camera & Media:
  • Captains: The app requires camera access to take a photo of the delivery package/consignment upon completion of the service as Proof of Delivery (POD). We do not currently collect personal identification documents via the app.

3. Service Workflow & Booking

• Booking Process: Once a User books a service, available Captains may accept the request. The Admin then reviews and confirms the assignment to authorize the pickup.
• Tracking: Once assigned, the User receives real-time GPS updates on the Captain’s location until the delivery is completed.

4. Payments

• Current Status: All service fees are currently handled manually between the User and ShiftEasy outside of the application.
• Future Roadmap: We are working on integrating Online Payment gateways. Once launched, this policy will be updated to reflect the collection of payment-related transaction data.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We share User location and contact details with the assigned Captain only to complete the requested service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data may be disclosed only if required by Indian law.

6. Permissions

• Location: Essential for distance calculation and the "Track Now" feature.
• Camera: Specifically for Captains to capture Proof of Delivery images.
• Phone/SMS: To allow communication between Users and Captains regarding the trip.

7. Data Security & Deletion

We implement industry-standard encryption to protect your data. Users can request account deletion or data removal by contacting our support team.

8. Consent

By using the ShiftEasy app, you consent to the collection of location data and camera usage for delivery verification as described in this Privacy Policy.
